Biography
Born in the historic market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire I have been painting since I was a small child.Although mainly self-taught, I completed a BTEC Foundation Course in Fine Art as a mature student in 2004.
Until November 2020 I was living and working on the beautiful Isle of Skye but decided during the pandemic year to return to my equally stunning home town of Richmond in North Yorkshire.I paint whenever time allows. My inspiration comes from my love of the countryside and nature.

My paintings can be very different depending on my mood and the subject chosen, from illustrative to impressionistic as I strive to create striking images using bold colour, manipulating the pastel in various ways to add depth and texture to my work.
I have shown paintings at various exhibitions nationwide, including An Laintair Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Darlington Society of Arts Darlington, Co. Durham, Duchess Ann Hall Dunkeld, Perthshire, Kings Hall Ilkley, G-Mex Manchester, Skyemakers Gallery Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, Skyeworks Gallery Portree, Isle of Skye and The Pavillions Strathpeffer, Ross & Cromarty.
Paintings in private collections nationally and internationally.
Commission work done on request.
Please see my Gallery page for examples of my paintings and work available as Limited Edition Prints and Greetings Cards.
